The Johnson County Library, located in Buffalo, Wyoming, features modern design elements that incorporates western vernacular. Using durable materials, including steel, stone, and wood, the renovation and addition will have a natural transition from old to new with a current, state-of-the-art facility in which to invite the public. At approximately 19,000 square feet, the building offers a diverse space. The renovated area houses reading and study areas, and collaborative office spaces with a multi-purpose room. The new addition houses the main entry, a children’s and teens area as well as a public meeting room. An outdoor courtyard provides an exterior space for employees and visitors.
